Motorised Touch Bar PHTM5 – Three Point Bolt

The Motorised Touch Bar PHTM5 is a three point panic exit device designed to provide secure, controlled external access while ensuring safe and immediate egress from inside. When connected to access control systems, the motorised function controls entry from outside, while the panic touch bar always overrides the system for emergency exit.

Applications:

• Single doors (timber, metal or PVCu)
• Inactive leaf of rebated double doors
• Both leaves of straight-edged double doors

Features:

• Motorised touch bar with integrated motor and modular mechanism.
• Covered connecting rods with vertical latching Pullman latches at the top and bottom.
• Compatible with access control systems such as digital keypads, proximity readers and swipe card systems.
• Panic function always operable from inside for safe egress.
• Motor operation: 12–24V DC (stabilised) or 12V AC.
• Requires a 2 amp power supply.
• Centre mechanism can be blanked off using the supplied plate to convert the unit into a two point device for double door applications.

Size & Door Compatibility:

• Standard size: 840mm – suitable for doors up to 860mm wide.
• Extended size: 1170mm – available for wider doors.
• Standard rods suit doors up to 2585mm high.
• Extended rods available for doors up to 3150mm high.

Optional Extras:

• Micro-switch for door status monitoring (must be specified at time of order).
• Dogging (hold-back) facility available on request.
• Outside access devices for controlled external entry.

Important Note: The dogging (hold-back) facility must not be used on fire or smoke door assemblies, but is suitable for escape doors.

Supplied with strikers for timber or metal doors as standard. PVCu strikers are available separately.
