Description:
The ERA British Standard High Security Nightlatch is designed to deliver maximum security with a traditional appearance.
Available in both 40mm and 60mm backset options, it is an ideal replacement for most existing front door locks and is especially
well suited to panelled doors.
This nightlatch is particularly suitable for glass panelled doors, as the ergonomic internal locking handle can be deadlocked by
an anti-clockwise turn of the key from the inside, providing enhanced resistance to forced entry.
The main bolt automatically deadlocks into the striker when the door is closed, preventing manipulation using a credit card.
A 20mm bolt throw delivers increased strength and security.
A simple snib button allows the latch to be held in the withdrawn position only, enabling access without operating the handle.
The British Standard Nightlatch is a face-fitted, non-handed design suitable for both left and right-handed doors.
The striker is designed with a 3-hole fixing for additional strength and security.
The lock conforms to British Standard BS 3621:2017 (BS EN 12209) and meets the stringent requirements laid down by insurance companies
and the police.
Suitable for inward opening interior and exterior timber doors only, it is available in brass effect, satin and a range of
chrome effect finishes, with matching brass effect and satin external cylinders.
The external cylinder includes a high security integral cylinder pull to protect against drilling.
The cylinder is supplied with 3 cut keys and can be keyed alike or master keyed to allow multiple doors to be accessed with the
same key (please contact us for details).
All finishes meet the requirements of BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 3 (96 hours) for corrosion resistance, ensuring a durable and
long-lasting finish.
